Safety and Accident preventionc. Maintain security of the building, including working some night and weekend hours2. Coordinate the Intramural Sports and Group Fitness Programs3. Schedulinga. Coordinate scheduling of all facilities used by HPER, recreational sports, intramural sports, group fitness and intercollegiate athleticsb. Maintain daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly scheduling of all applicable facilitiesc. Maintain an up-to-date facilities priority documentd. Initiate suggestions for change in priority usage document4. Develop a job description for a NPAC Assistant and Group Fitness GA and supervise his/her performance of duties5. Insure that periodic inspections are made of the facilities and in cooperation with the Maintenance department. Schedule daily, seasonal and annual routine maintenance6. Develop and supervise budgetsSecondary Duties:1. Coordinate Wellness Program2. Provide schedule of activities for recreation and hire/supervise student personnel3. Be a positive public relations person and encourage extensive utilization of the facilities4. Promote and schedule a wide variety of external uses of the facilities5. Supervise facility staff, NPAC graduate assistant, and student workers6. Other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreeAble to acquire First Aid and CPR certificationsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Physical Education or closely related fieldStrong interpersonal skills and knowledge of facility and equipment operationsPrevious experience with recreational management, collegiate level intramurals, and program developmentFirst Aid and CPR certificationsPhysical DemandsThe physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment.
