Role Summary:

The Web Development Manager is a member of the Communications Marketing team that manages Current, powered by GE websites, including all new development and maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Web Development Manager will :

  • Lead global web team, ensuring a unified approach to our global web platform

  • Lead the global web team in the design, development and implementation of enhancements to Drupal websites, including new functionality, improvements, navigation, look and feel

  • Facilitate weekly calls with the global digital marketing team, IT, and content editors

  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented consistently throughout website

  • Work with key GE employees to ensure digital strategies are being met

  • Work with multiple business leads to maintain fresh, relevant content across sites

  • Serve as lead digital marketing trainer for Current’s Drupal platform

  • Partner with outside agencies regarding ongoing web initiatives

  • Write technical specifications, create wireframes, documentation and mockups

  • Work with IT to assess, document, and resolve technical challenges

  • Troubleshoot and resolve content-related issues identified across web sites

  • PLEASE NOTE: Work Location listed is East Cleveland, OH. However, this position may also be available at our Boston, MA location Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Communications)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital Communications ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

  • Strong experience with Content Management Systems (Drupal preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Web Development/Design/Usability

  • Strong project management skills with ability to track and complete multiple projects on time

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong HTML/CSS skills

  • Proficient in Google Analytics

  • Strong understanding of SEO / SEM best practices
